In the first test which is happening at different cities of India you need to know the basics of photography, history of photography and some experience in photography. the first part will be checking your aptitude and second part will check your general know how of photography. And the course has an emphasize on contemporary photography practice. It is looking at photography as a medium of expression. So, if your interest is in commercial photography, this may not be the place,but if you want to develop your own visual language and develop your own ways of looking at photography practice, to develop critical thinking then this is the place.
This course is to develop thought leaders and pioneers in the world of photography. Though this course do not deny the importance of technique, we at NID believe that the idea is the most important factor and the technique is some thing that you need to express your idea well.
